About the show
In Dorayakingdom, a castle with dorayaki roofs stands above a castle town full of cherry blossoms. Princess Nerikiri lives there with her friends, and every day she enjoys a different kind of wagashi.
When the Sweets Empire tries to cover the sweet world in chocolate, Kuri Manju makes a plan, and Mochi Samurai and Monaka Ninja lead the way. Every contest is settled with wisdom and sweet-making, never by hurting anyone, and every episode ends with everyone smiling and making friends.
The songs mix taiko drums, Japanese flute and shamisen with pop, with short phrases that repeat so little ones can sing along. Each character is shaped like a real wagashi, so the show is also a first look at Japanese sweets.
This show is animated with AI. The characters are fictional sweets, not the work of real artisans. To see how wagashi are really made, read our wagashi guides or join an experience with an artisan.
